Returning for its second year, the City’s Juneteenth talent showcase continues its mission of honoring African Americans and celebrating the richness of Black culture and artistic expression. Previously known as Juneteenth Amateur Night, this year’s event expands the experience with a refreshed theme inspired by the spirit and energy of legendary amateur showcase nights.
The event welcomes performers of all kinds—including singers, poets, musicians, comedians, dancers, and spoken word artists—to take the stage and share their talents in celebration of freedom, culture, and community.
More than a competition for cash prizes, A Night at the Apollo’s Amateur Talent Show is an opportunity to uplift local voices through creativity and expression. Attendees can also enjoy local food tastings, giveaways, and special event swag throughout the evening.
Performers interested in competing must register by June 8, 2026 at Homesteadfl.gov/talent.
The event is free and open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and support local talent.
